With the release of Spy I present to the world the first of my creations that has reached the state of real world presentation. My intention in creating Spy was to make the world a little easier for everyone. For the people working in tech support, as I do, Spy presents the user at the other end a full read out of the essential parts of there Mac. The user no longer has to guess what the system is doing, or how its set up.On the other side, for the users, Spy presents all the information about there system in one location, no need to jump from folder to folder, searching for all the different system information.
“ How it all works”
Spy works one the simple: one stop shop. Simply double click on Spy in the finder, and Spy presents you with one screen that has all the system information. If you need more information than is presented at first glance hold down the option key while selecting the apple menu, and you will be presented with a new menu item “Gestalt Result”. Selecting this will bring up a the “Gestalt Result” window which is basically one list containing all the different system information that Spy covers.
“ About Distribution ”
Spy is intended to be used by everyone. I give full permission to anyone to redistribute this program in any for, and in any medium. I make only one request, and that is that the program must be distribute in it entirely, that means you must include this document and you should not cut apart the resources. I welcome any company that wishes to distribute this program with their product, but please contact me when you start to distribute Spy, and please consider some kind of a donation.
“ About Me! ”
As I mentioned in the beginning Spy is my first attempt at a distributed program, so I welcome all comments an suggestions that anyone might have. Any one that sends me some EMail will be added to my list, and I will send out updates to Spy electronically.
